Bob’s musical destiny was pretty much a matter of genetic engineering. You see, his father, and his father’s father, and his father’s father’s father were all career musicians, so it’s not too much of a stretch to understand that the die was cast for this Hoosier transplant. It was in the hallowed halls of Ball State University that our intrepid future TinMan was smitten by the lure of playing rock music… on stage… for money!! So this orchestra dude turned rocker scrounged up a Hammond B3, a Fender Rhodes, and a couple of synthesizers and hit the road – sharing the stage on occasion with the likes of Ramsey Lewis, Ben Vereen, and The Limeliters. Artists that have left their stamp on Bob include Hancock, Corea, Jimmy Smith, Chuck Leavell, Jan Hammer and Keith Emerson. As the latest “new guy” entry in the TinMan journal, Bob is looking forward to just settling in and rockin’ out as only TinMan can!
